Dion Fitzgerald, from Toronto, Canada and nurtured between North America and the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbados, emerges as a visual artist deeply influenced by the complex layers of his upbringing. Embarking on his artistic journey in 2005, Dion Fitzgerald (DF) is most recognized for his distinct chiaroscuro paintings, showcasing an evolving study of balance through light and shadow.
Dion's artistic footprint spans continents, with his works exhibited in the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, and the UK, finding a home in private collections globally. Beyond his role as a visual artist, DF extends his expertise as an art instructor, conceptual designer and multi-instrumentalist, while also maintaining a strong presence as an advocate for marginalized communities.
Central to his artistic exploration, Dion's ongoing Lineage collection is a dedicated study of his ancestral roots, spanning the Caribbean and firmly planted in the continent of Africa.
